Chef Prasit is the third Thai Chef to participate in the Global Chef Program. We are very pleased to have Thailand’s participation in this program as the kingdom is extremely rich in the art of culinary traditions that are known the world over. Chef Prasit enthusiastically looks forward to sharing the exotic flavors of the Kingdom of Thailand with all our valued guests in the U.S.A.

Chef Prasit underwent his culinary training at the Suan Sunantha College in Bangkok, Thailand. Upon his graduation in 1995, he spent almost ten years polishing his culinary skills at some of the leading hotels within Bangkok and Phuket. In 2005, Chef Prasit was hired by Sodexo Support Services, Thailand as the Chef at the United Nations with a broad spectrum of international clientele. Chef Prasit has led the culinary team at the United Nations (a Non-Profit Organization) for a period of 3 years prior to his transfer to Bumrungrad International Hospital (reputed as the number one private hospital within the Kingdom of Thailand) in early 2008.

Chef Prasit was appointed as Sodexo’s Celebrity Chef to participate in the Great Chef 2009 Program which was started by the hospital since 1998. Presently, he looks forward to unleash some authentic secret recipes from the various regions of Thailand. These traditional dishes include Spicy and Sour Thai Soup “Tom Yam Soup” (a mouth-watering Thai specialty soup), Minced Pork/Prawns on Toast, Deep Fried Chicken wrapped in Pandan Leaf, Fried Pineapple Rice and Banana in Coconut Syrup.

Besides cooking, Chef Prasit’s passion is to spend time with his family, reading and playing soccer. He is an active member of the Thai Chef Association.
