Chef Patrick Masson is the first French chef to participate in the Global Chef Program. We are very happy to have France’s participation as the country with the most esteemed culinary traditions the world over. Chef Masson looks forward to sharing the classic regional dishes from across France with our guests.
Chef Masson learned his craft from some of France’s most highly regarded chefs. He is a classically trained chef, and a degreed expert in the hotel & hospitality industry. Chef Masson’s training and experience were honed in top restaurants, such as Le Rampart, a Michelin star winning restaurant, and hotels in France, Tunisia and England. He also spent time at The Bistrot in the Park restaurant in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.
During his time in the U.S., Chef Masson will prepare some classic dishes for the university students, faculty, staff, administrators and community members. These dishes will include favorites such as Coq au Vin, Blanquette de Veau, crepes and créme brulee.
As an avid outdoorsman, Chef Masson looks forward to skiing and enjoying other winter sports and activities during his free time. And, he looks forward to visiting and learning about regional and cultural foods and sites.
